Struck by the Perth Mint in Western Australia, the 2026 Silver Kangaroo contains one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver and is legal tender in Australia with a one dollar face value.
The reverse shows a red kangaroo in an open landscape, and unlike most bullion series the design is changed each year, which gives the coins a date-specific character while keeping the same specification. A micro-laser-engraved mark sits within the design as a security feature. The obverse carries the monarch's effigy.
The Perth Mint packs these coins in tubes of 25 and monster boxes of 250, so they arrive in mint packaging when bought in quantity — useful if you plan to store the coins untouched.
At .9999 purity the Kangaroo matches the Canadian Maple Leaf and sits above the .999 coins from the UK, Austria and South Africa.
