About This Product

The 2026 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf carries one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold and is struck by the Royal Canadian Mint. First issued in 1979, it was among the first bullion coins produced at four-nine purity, and the series has kept the same core design ever since: the sugar maple leaf on the reverse, the monarch's effigy on the obverse, and the weight, purity and Canadian legal tender denomination struck into the field.

Recent issues add two features that help with visual checking — the mint's radial line background and a micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark that appears under magnification.

For buyers comparing one ounce gold coins, the appeal here is familiarity: dealers worldwide trade the series daily, so pricing references are easy to find, and a holding built in single ounces can be sold in parts rather than all at once, unlike a large bar.

NGB supplies this coin as part of its physical gold range in Hong Kong, priced against the live gold market, with collection from our Wan Chai office by appointment.
