This one ounce Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is supplied in a randomly selected year of issue, chosen from whatever stock is on hand at the time of purchase. Each coin holds one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold from the Royal Canadian Mint and carries the series design: sugar maple leaf reverse, the monarch's effigy, and the struck weight, purity and Canadian legal tender denomination. Older dates may not have the radial line finish or micro-engraved privy mark introduced on later issues.

Coins can show light handling marks from storage and previous packaging. Gold does not tarnish, so surfaces generally remain bright, but condition is not guaranteed to be flawless — the metal content is what is being bought.
