About This Product
A one troy ounce bar of .9995 fine platinum, refined and struck by Valcambi Suisse. It is supplied sealed in an assay card showing the refiner's name, the weight, the fineness and a serial number matching the bar.
Platinum is a smaller market than gold or silver. Annual mine supply is a fraction of gold's and much of the demand comes from industry, particularly autocatalysts, so the price behaves differently and can move more sharply. Buyers usually hold it alongside gold rather than in place of it.
Standard investment platinum is refined to .9995 rather than the .9999 common in gold, which is the accepted bullion fineness for the metal.
